Alright, they were fairly short, so here's two:
Death Rejects Me:"The years seem infinite, mom." She spoke softly, leaning against the lightly colored marble headstone. Her legs sprawled out amongst her mother's grave. She was talking to her mother, but her icy blue eyes studied the thorny, yet velvety black rose she twisted and twirled in her slender, pale fingers. She could feel the thorns tear viciously at her skin, and the blood that trickled and smeared made her fingers feel hot with the added moisture of the juices that leaked from the stem. Though the contrast of it against her skin was most lovely. Such a tenacious shade of red overlapping skin pale as death. Long nails permanently painted darker than the heart of the damned.
A hint of sun, a translucent layer of light lingered in the atmosphere. It reflected in her eyes, playing with the colors. Riccocheting from light to dark, dark to light. Glimmering and changing with every flick of her eyelids. And Antionette lifted to her feet significantly; not an effort wasted. She let the rose slip from her hand, dropping delicately onto the grass, lightly coated in the early morning dew.
Her lips pulled up into a half-hearted smirk, as she turned her eyes on the acient headstone. "Lucky you mother, death rejects me." With those last words said, Antionette disappeared into the darkness, concealed in every shadow imagined by the wonders of the Earth.
From a Different Perspective: The despairing heat beat down on my face, showing absolutely no mercy, creating wild fires across my bare skin. I dragged onward, for I could see it in the distance. With each step I took it seemed to run farther away. Would I ever reach my murky destination? It didn't seem so, but I soon felt it swirling about my feet. I listened, and I could hear the screams and squeals of small children as the angry monsters chased them back into the heat, nipping at their heels. When the infuriated beasts seemed satisfied, they would retreat. Only to return again, and again. Threatening to trap the children in their airless claws.
Only the bravest would dare to ride the monsters, ride them as if they were wild, untamed horses. They showed no fear, and the adrenaline pulsed visably through their veins.
This was my mistake. I had let my mind wander off like a child. And I hadn't noticed the 6 foot demon creeping up on me. My head shot up, just in time to see it's plan before it set it in motion. A loud scream traveled up my throat, and burst through my lips.
The raging beast crashed down upon me, thrusting me into a whole new world. The darkness that suddenly engulfed me stung my eyes as they adjusted. My body swirled in uncontrollable violent movements. I clawed my searching hands in every direction, but there was nothing to hold onto. My burning lungs threatened to explode. Finally, I broke the surface, breathing heavily. I knew I was safe now, and couldn't help but let free a quiet laugh between breaths, as I looked around.
The ocean was beautiful today.
